Environmental farming body LEAF has opened a public consultation on its LEAF Marque Standard to ensure it stays in line with global standards.
The charity, which revises the criteria of the standard every five years, has invited its members and stakeholders, academics, fellow NGOs, government, industry and members of the public to provide their views.
Closing on 30 January, the consultation is designed to help ensure the LEAF Marque Standard stays relevant to farmers and remains consistent with the best practice codes and guidelines provided by ISEAL, the global membership association for credible sustainability standards.
Found only on more sustainably farmed products, the LEAF Marque is underpinned by the sustainable farming practices of Integrated Farm Management (IFM), with the ultimate aim of creating a world that farms, eats and lives more sustainably.
