Fresh produce supplier offers 25 new products as part of its ’Taste Like Summer’ launch
Fresh Direct, the UK’s leading fresh produce supplier to the foodservice industry, has announced the introduction of 25 new products as part of its summer season launch.
British produce spearheads the list of new products, extending the range of premium tomatoes from Isle of Wight Tomatoes with the launch of Mixed Heritage Tomatoes.
The group is also introducing a vertically-grown, British-produced Zesty Salad bag as part of its ‘Taste Like Summer’ launch.
The seasonal launch includes round courgettes and purple sweet potato.
Helping to support kitchens across the country as increases in the cost of employment start to take effect, Fresh Direct has also introduced a number of time-saving products including Cajun Spiced Sweet Potato Cubes, Honey and Rosemary Carrot and Parsnip Strips and Mango as well as Pineapple Fingers.
“We’ve got a proud record of bringing innovation to the fresh produce sector,” said Andy Pembroke, managing director of Fresh Direct.
