Dried fruit and nut supplier Whitworths has partnered with the creators of Wallace and Gromit in a new animated campaign for a kids range of snacking nuts.
Bright Little Nuts will be promoted through a new animation starring the ‘Nutwing’ characters, who live in the fantasy land of ‘Nutville’. Created by Bristol-based animation specialists Aardman, the 30-second animation will debut on Whitworths’ social media channels before forming part of a bigger TV series later this year.
The 20g packs come in three varieties and is partnering with the new Change4Life campaign, which is targeting healthy snacks for children throughout January with point of sale activity and discounts.
“We’ve recognised that there is a gap in the market for a snacking product which is packed with good stuff that isn’t boring. Ultimately, that’s what we wanted to reflect in our latest advert,” said Whitworths marketing director, Phil Gowland.
“When we first launched the product they didn’t have a name, let alone a backstory, and we knew that partnering with such a prestigious animation studio would help us bring these characters to life and tell the story of Bright Little Nuts in a truly unique and fun way.”
Ricky Neault, agency director at Chapter, which developed the advert, said: “All together, we wanted the advert to be full of movement, colour, wit and charm, and Aardman did a great job of creating a fun-filled flight through the energy-packed world of Bright Little Nuts.”
