The union has been pushing the government department to produce a video for a year and now that it has been made, officials are keen that it is used.
'Educating travellers about the risk that illegal food imports pose to UK agriculture is an important aspect of the campaign against illegal imports and the video has a role in achieving that,' said NFU food standards chairman Michael Seals.
'Public awareness of the threat posed by illegal imports is hugely important in reducing the likelihood of an exotic disease entering the country. This video can play an important role in raising that awareness.'
