Veg Power announced yesterday (21 November) that it has been providing an advisory role to inform a healthy eating campaign to be aired on LBC’s drive-time show with Tom Swarbrick.

The national radio campaign will focus on encouraging the UK to consume more vegetables, with a particular focus on broccoli.

It will look at the issue from a variety of angles and perspectives, including growers, caterers, retailers and government to provide listeners with a holistic view of current consumption and how it can be improved.

Veg Power said it has supported LBC by identifying relevant experts to help shape the content development and research phases of the campaign.

Dan Parker, chief executive of Veg Power, said, “Our mission is to get the UK eating more veg, and we are delighted that LBC will be featuring this campaign over the coming months.

“We are confident it will provide a much-needed boost in vegetable consumption by uncovering all aspects of this issue.”

LBC is a British phone-in and talk radio station owned and operated by Global and based in its headquarters in London.

Veg Power is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company on a mission to turn around vegetable consumption in the UK. It runs the award-winning Eat Them to Defeat Them campaign.
