With its British season on the horizon, Tenderstem has been busy giving something back to the food writers who so enjoy using it in their recipes.

On 5 June, delicious. magazine was crowned winner of the Tenderstem-sponsored Food Magazine of the Year award at the Guild of Food Writers' 16th annual awards.

This is the third year Tenderstem has sponsored the consumer-focused category.

Andy Macdonald, MD at Coregeo, which is master licensor for Tenderstem in the UK, said: 'Our congratulations go to delicious. magazine; a worthy winner of a category packed with exceptional food-writing talent including Jamie Magazine and The Guardian: Cook. Fantastic editorial combined with eye-catching design and photography makes delicious. a must read.'

Michelle Toft, marketing manager for Tenderstem, added: 'As a fast-growing fresh produce brand, Tenderstem is delighted to be a category sponsor at the Guild of Food Writers awards. The event puts Tenderstem in front of some of the most influential British food writers. It has helped spread the word about this relatively young brand and has given guests opportunities to taste an excellent product and take it home to enjoy.'

The British Tenderstem season is imminent, with several growers reporting the first of the season’s crop cut in the last week. Last year, for the first time British Tenderstem overtook the quantity of imported Tenderstem on supermarket shelves during the five-month season which runs from June until November.
