A new contender to the Innocent and Naked smoothie duopoly has landed its first UK supermarket listings.
Two of the SaVse raw fruit and vegetables smoothies, Super Green and Super Blue, will be stocked in selected Waitrose stores from 17 March.
The deal, which will see the beverages stocked in the John Lewis Partnership retailer's south-east stores, follows a successful launch in 136 Boots stores nationwide in January 2014.
Guka Tavberidze, founder of SaVse, said: 'We are absolutely thrilled to announce Waitrose as our first major supermarket stockist. For the announcement to come so soon after the Boots launch is such a huge achievement for us. SaVse is the perfect fit for Waitrose.'
To support the launch, Waitrose will be offering SaVse at £1.50 per 250ml bottle for the first four weeks.
Chloe Graves, Waitrose's chilled juice buyer said: 'At Waitrose our shoppers love to try something different, and the SaVse smoothies are no exception. The range will allow our customers to explore lots of different fruit and vegetable combinations, whilst helping to achieve their 5 A DAY.'
First launched in 2013, SaVse drinks use HPP (high pressure processing), which allows the ingredients to retain their natural goodness.
The Super Blue flavour contains blueberries, kale, spinach, beetroot, blackberries and apple, while Super Green comprises broccoli, pear, spinach, kiwi, lemon and banana.
