Charity Help the Aged is to host a seminar, ‘What Older People Want and Expect from the High Street’, on January 17.
Leading retailers will be present at the event, in a bid to work out how to attract the sought-after silver shopper. Senior representatives from Help the Aged, Marks & Spencer, BT and B&Q will discuss how to meet the needs and expectations of the UK’s growing ranks of older shoppers.
M&S head of corporate social responsibility Mike Barry will give attendees a broad perspective, including detailing Plan A, the retailer's five-year, 100-point plan to work with customers and suppliers to work on issues such as healthy eating and ethical trading.
