The Campden & Chorleywood Food Research (CCFRA) association is running three seminars in November that should be interesting for the fresh produce industry.
• Product development: from recipe to reality, a conference, will be held at CCFRA headquarters in Chipping Campden on November 23-24. A two-day programme builds on the association’s 'Introduction to Product Development' training course and brings expertise from all parts of the NPD spectrum. “It will be of benefit to all personnel involved in developing new food and drink products, who want to keep up-to-date with the latest market trends, new ingredients and tools available,” said the CCFRA.

• Water re-cycling and re-use will take place at CCFRA headquarters on November 30. Organised in collaboration with British Water and sponsored by Severn Trent Water, this seminar will cover: why there is an issue with water supply in this country; what the legislative pressures to conserve water are; how food companies are dealing with this throughout Europe; and what technical advances make investment in water recycling more realistic today.
