E Park & Sons has installed one of the largest on-roof solar photovoltaic systems in the UK.
The installation totals 681kWp, and will deliver the Lincolnshire-based potato producerwith an income and savings of around £100,000 a year.
In addition, it is also hoped the 2,742 panels - installed by Renewables 4 Business - willlower the company’s carbon footprint by 320 tonnes annually.
The solar PV system is split into two parts: 94.5kWp on a cold store building, and 586.5kWp on the main building.
Over 65 kilometres of cable were used, which if laid down end-to-end, would stretch from Manchester to Sheffield.
