Nominations for the Soil Association Organic Food Awards - the most prestigious and widely respected in the organic sector - are open.

Now in their 23rd year, the awards provide the opportunity for producers to showcase their best quality organic food and drink and be given the accolade of a winning certificate and logo for ongoing promotional use.

With the help of an expert panel of judges including chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and specialists, alongside celebrity foodies, the aim of these awards is to create greater public awareness of the values of organic production, positive food culture, and the range and quality of organic food and drink available.

The awards are open to any product registered as organic and certified by a recognised organic certification body within the EU. The deadline for entering the awards is 3 June.

This year, there is also the opportunity for consumers to help promote the best quality organic food by nominating their favourite organic products for the awards.

Geetie Singh, judge and owner of the Duke of Cambridge pub, London said: "The Organic Food Awards are a celebration of great organic food that is produced sustainably and to the highest welfare and environmental standards, food that has top quality provenance and an interesting story to tell."
