Eosta BV and The Organic Salad Company BV (TOSC) have announced the departure of Azra Secerbegovic as managing director of TOSC.
Secerbegovic has been succeeded by Matthew Godfroy, although she will stay with the Rhea Group (Eosta Holding) until the end of December 2008.
Secerbegovic has been with Eosta since 2001, involved in the supply chain of organic greenhouse products. She was instrumental, along with Godfroy, in building TOSC BV since its beginning in 2004.
The Spalding-based firm serves major UK retailers with locally and internationally sourced organic salad products, including peppers, tomatoes, aubergines and cucumbers.
In 2005, TOSC brought wild tomato varieties and was the runner-up for the Q-Award. In July this year, the firm launched Wild Cucumber, an organic type which has been revived due to its special qualities and appearance, and took second place at this year’s Fruit Logistica Innovation Award.
Secerbegovic was instrumental in creating strategic partnerships with TOSC and Eosta suppliers, creating various joint ventures in Bulgaria, Israel, the Netherlands and Spain.
