Puffin Produce has unveiled a new look for its “Blas y Tir” brand.
Unveiled to coincide with the arrival of Pembrokeshire Earlies across Welsh supermarkets next week, the new design ditches the black bowl of spuds for a classic Pembrokeshire landscape.
The image is a hand drawn artists’ impression of the Pembrokeshire coastline as seen from one of the Pembrokeshire Earlies’ fields, grown for the Blas y Tir brand, which means “taste of the land” in Welsh.
“The new packaging is very nostalgic, but also brings a fresh, modern look to the brand, whilst still being decidedly Welsh,” says Megan Tye, marketing manager at Puffin Produce.
“This new design really focuses on what makes Blas y Tir produce truly great; Welsh produce grown and packed in Wales for Welsh customers. Our farmers own our business and have been growing Pembrokeshire Earlies for generations.
“We hope that this brand refresh will continue to enable our brand to grow, as the next generation of Welsh farmers continue grow Welsh produce for Wales.”
Puffin Produce are also launching the summer campaign “#itsnevertooearly…to try Pembrokeshire Earlies”, which will see support through the line for the product, including point of sale advertising, press coverage and attendance at shows and events.
