Former BASF agronomy manager Richard Dyason has been appointed as marketing manager at environmentally conscious pest control manufacturer Exosect.

Dyason’s role will be to develop growing international markets for Exosect including the UK, the US, New Zealand and South Africa.

Prior to working for Exosect, Dyason was at agrochemical company BASF for 15 years, latterly as an agronomy manager. During this time he was responsible for technical training, pre-market trials, demonstrations and successfully taking products to market, exceeding sales and profit targets in consecutive years. Previous to this he was managing director of ASC Willmot.

“Exosect and its products have established an excellent reputation in diverse agricultural markets as an environmentally conscious, quick-to-deploy and easy-to-maintain alternative to more traditional methods of pest control,” said Dyason. “I look forward to bringing my experience to the sales and marketing team at Exosect and to develop these opportunities even further.”

The appointment of Dyason is the latest announcement of growth from Exosect in 2007, following a 300 per cent increase in production at its new facility in Colden Common as a result of increased demand and the launch of its products in the US and New Zealand.

Exosect managing director Martin Brown said: “Richard’s experience and knowledge in the field of agronomy mean he will be a real asset to the company, and we are excited to welcome him to the team to help Exosect continue its pace of growth and development.”
