Industry linchpin Ali Capper, foodservice giant Sysco Fresh Direct, and a host of branding experts are among the highlights in the second conference session
Leading voices in fresh produce retail supply, foodservice, marketing and branding are on the billing in the second speaker session at Festival of Fresh 2024.
Kicking off at 11.30am, the Retail, Foodservice and Marketing session on the Inspiration Stage promises an exciting programme of interviews, presentations and panel discussions.
The highly anticipated outdoor event takes place on 13 June on the pitch at Evesham United Football Club, in association with Nationwide Produce.

Two high-level one-to-one interviews kick off the session, starting with British Apples & Pears executive chair Ali Capper, who will discuss her organisation’s efforts to encourage UK retailers to sell more British apples.
This is followed by an interview with Richard Walker, merchandising and pricing director at Sysco Fresh Direct. Walker will outline some of the foodservice giant’s supply initiatives, as well as highlighting the group’s sustainability strategy to meet customer demands.
Next on the stage is Laura Fry, Kantar ‘s consumer insights director for produce. She will present key findings from Kantar research into fresh produce retail trends, as well as highlighting potential areas for sales growth.
Closing the session is a panel discussion featuring four marketing and branding experts: Lorraine Fountain and Kyla Flynn of Coregeo; John Heginbottom of Albert Bartlett; and Naomi Farmer of Brandbloom.

Festival of Fresh starts with a welcome address at 9.20am, followed by the first session on Production and Trade running from 9.30am-11am. The Retail, Foodservice and Marketing session will run from 11.30-12.45. You can find the full programme here.
