Lasting Leaf is once again backing Asda's Tickled Pink campaign this autumn to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.

The bagged-salad brand is hoping to top last year's £11,000 donation as it raises money for Breast Cancer Care and the Breast Cancer Campaign.

In September and October specially designed bright pink salad bags will feature the Tickled Pink logo and a fundraising pledge. Lasting Leaf has pledged to donate at least £10,000 and says it has strong price promotions and extra gondola-end space booked to help the initiative.

In a further move brand owner Natures Way Foods has designated 4 October as a 'big pink fundraising day', with staff wearing pink items of clothing, baking pink cakes and taking part in other fundraising activities in the company's three factories.

“Across the UK, around 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year,' saidLasting Leaf marketing manager Melanie Dean.'We are proud of our association with Tickled Pink and of our contribution to its fundraising efforts, and we are keen to support the very important work of these two charities.”

Asda's Tickled Pink campaign has raised over £30 million for breast cancer charities over a 17-year period.
