The Kanzi apple brand has launched a creative recipe competition.

The free-to-enter competition runsuntil 5 July, with the winner bagging twoplaces on a ‘Cooking the Roux Way’ experience at The Michel Roux Jr CookerySchool at Cactus Kitchens in London.

Ten runner-ups will each receive aKanzi goodie bag.

To participate, contestants will need toupload an image and preparation method oftheir favourite apple recipe.

Kanzi – a cross between Gala andBraeburn – is an eating applewith a distinct bright red appearance, which is known to workwell in a number of sweet and savoury recipes.

Henry Müller, CEO at GKE, the Kanzibrand owner, said: “Kanzi is celebratingits 10th anniversary of sales, so to celebratewe thought what better way than invitingconsumers to enter and share their bestapple recipes.”

The competition is being promoted to foodies andkeen cooks via social media advertising andonline banners on the BBC Good Foodwebsite.

The Michel Roux Jr Cookery School is a venue where one can learneverything new ways of workingwith food and wine with the help ofMichel Roux Jr, his protégés and some ofthe nation's top chefs.

us we were more than happy to supply twoplaces for a ‘Cooking The Roux Way’ experience.

'Designed and approved byMichel Roux Jr, we offer a range ofmasterclasses, taught by the head chefs ofMichel's London restaurants, Roux atParliament Square and Roux at the Landau.

'These full-day, hands-on cooking classeswill give enthusiastic amateur cooks aunique insight into the cooking ethos of the
legendary Roux family.”
