Preva Produce and the Jazzy Grower Group are bringing back Jazzy-branded potatoes on an exclusive retail basis to Co-operative Food stores later this month as well as rolling the line out to wholesalers at the major markets.
Billed as “the small potato with the big personality,” Jazzy has been bred specifically to offer a consistently high-quality, small-sized product. It is a versatile, waxy, set-skinned potato.
The grower group is made up of five growers with crops in Cornwall, Norfolk and Lancashire. With Preva Produce, they are reinforcing the brand via bright red and green packaging, a dedicated website, a newsletter and an events programme. This season’s campaign builds on the launch last summer to wholesale, hospitality and retail sectors last summer, by Preva Produce and the Jazzy Grower Group.
Will Beeson, director of Preva Produce, said: “Our customers are really excited about the arrival of new season Jazzy. The crops look excellent and I think we will be able to provide our customers with another longer season of great tasting Jazzy with a beautiful skin finish.”
Jazzy will be available from major wholesale markets in 10kg boxes from 29 July and will be Co-operative Food stores from 8 August.
