Shoppers can win a Jaffa car

Jaffa has announced its promotional package to support the renowned citrus brand throughout 2008. The new campaign will support Jaffa by focusing on specific promotions, to drive sales at key times of the year.

From mid-February, shoppers in major multiples can enter a win-a-Jaffa-car competition, through an on-pack offer. A convertible Mini in a striking orange colour is up for grabs.

Then in May, another on-pack promotion will offer purchasers the chance to win an iPod Nano every day for three months.

The on-pack campaign is also being underpinned by a PR programme to highlight Jaffa quality and availability around the year in the print media.

Several activities are aimed at young consumers and their parents, including sponsorship of children’s football and rugby teams in the UK, and appearances of a promotional Jaffa mascot during the summer.

Marius du Plessis, general manager of Jaffa at MTEX, which imports and markets the brand in the UK, said: “At Jaffa, we are dedicated to supporting our customers with campaigns that drive consumers into stores and encourage purchase at the point of sale. This year, exposure for the Jaffa brand in a cross-section of press, such as women’s magazines and local newspapers, and attention-grabbing promotions in stores, will help us achieve these goals.”
