Irish seed potato supplier Irish Potato Marketing Limited has changed its name to IPM Potato Group Limited effective immediately.
The company said the renaming aims to “communicate more accurately the current scope of the company’s activities and structure” and “reflect its international success”.
“The renaming of our corporate brand to IPM Potato Group Limited reflects the increasingly global reach of our operations,” said IPM Potato Group’s managing director, Marcel de Sousa.
“While the company’s head office and breeding programme are based in Ireland we have offices and agents around the globe bringing our high quality varieties to market and the time has come to change our name in order to communicate this reach more effectively to current and prospective customers and business associates.”
IPM produces and supplies seed potatoes from bases in Europe and South America and has offices in Ireland, Scotland, Holland, France and Brazil.
The company, owner of successful Irish potato variety Rooster, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Donegal Investment Group plc. It has been growing steadily over the last four years through establishing IPM Brasil and IPM France, and acquiring Scottish seed potato firm A.J.Allan.
