innocent drinks launches new smoothie Blueberry Whizz to help more children get essential fruit and nutrients into their diet
innocent, a leading fruit smoothie company, is on a mission to get more fruit into kids as it announces the UK launch of Blueberry Whizz.
Blueberry Whizz is the latest addition to the innocent kids super smoothie range made from crushed fruit and veg with added vitamin D, Iron – and no added sugar.
The launch comes as National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS) data shows that only 1 in 10 kids manage to eat their 5-a-day.
innocent said drinking a Blueberry Whizz smoothie is a convenient and delicious way to help more children reach this target.
The company added that the smoothie is fortified with vitamin D and iron after further NDNS research uncovered common deficiencies amongst children across the UK.
”Along with the rest of the innocent kids super smoothie range, Blueberry Whizz has been accredited the “Good Choice” badge as part of the Better Health Families campaign, so parents know they are making a healthy decision for their family,” the company said in a statement.
innocent said it has served over 1.5 billion portions of fruit and veg to kids since it first launched its range of smoothies for kids in 2005. The company, which is 90% owned by Coca Cola, is continuing to expand its range to new markets and has recently launched four new recipes in France.
