G’s has announced a thanksgiving service for its founder Guy Shropshire who passed away on 24 October.
The inspirational farmer and agricultural innovator died just short of his 93rd birthday, with G’s praising Shropshire for his “visionary business acumen” and passion for farming, which “enhanced the lives of thousands”.
Shropshire’s family has confirmed that the service will take place on Friday 14 December at 1.30 pm in Ely Cathedral. It will be followed by refreshments in the cathedral’s Lady Chapel.
The family reminded guests to allow enough travelling time since parking in Ely is limited, while also thanking those in the industry that have enquired about making donations to a charity in Shropshire’s name. The chosen organisation is UK Dementia Research and donations can be made via thislink.
