Gamber Produce Ltd in Herefordshire, championed in the Fresh Produce category at the prestigious Heart of England fine foods (HEFF) Diamond Awards for its Maris Piper Chateau potatoes.
Flights Organic Orchard Ltd’s apples and Manor Farm Fruits’s strawberries were also nominated in the category.
Winners of the third annual HEFF Diamond Awards were revealed at the Gala Dinner which took place last Saturday at Aston Villa Football Club, Birmingham.
Patrick Lewis of Gamber Produce Ltd said: “We are delighted to have won, it’s all down to the team as we grow and prepare the potatoes ourselves and we sell them ourselves. I hope winning the award will increase our profile and our sales.”
