Shoppers can claim 50p off all topfruit sold at Marks and Spencer under a new promotion from pan-industry campaign Adventures in Fruit.
The giveaway, which is running for a month between 11 November and 10 December, requires consumers to scan a voucher at the till to claim the discount. It is can be redeemed at the purchase of all apples and pears in M&S High Street and Simply Food stores.
The promotion follows a ‘secret supper club’ held in September at a Kent topfruit orchard to mark the beginning of the English apple season.
Adventures in Fruit is an umbrella campaign that has been backed by different companies, including Worldwide Fruit for topfruit and Mack for stonefruit, at various points in the year. The idea is to build consumer recognition and following for the brand in order to grow fruit consumption throughout the year, rather than focusing on one product.
