Produce World subsidiary and regional fresh produce brand From My Farm has joined forces with Slow Food UK to help them to promote taste, quality and production.

Slow Food carries out the initiative through projects to raise awareness and tackle food issues through their grassroots volunteer network.

As sponsors, the new funding provided by From My Farm will go towards educational projects and events and will help raise the profile of various Slow Food initiatives over the next 12 months.

From My Farm was launched in October 2008 in response to the growing consumer demand for seasonal, regional fresh produce.

The brainchild of Charlotte Falkingham, a farmer’s daughter from Yorkshire, the new brand has grown quickly in the last 18 months to establish itself as the leading provider of quality seasonal produce to a number of high street supermarkets and specialist retailers.

From My Farm works at reducing food miles as all of their produce is truly regional, indicated through the on-pack growers stamp, while products are only available during their UK season.

Charlotte Falkingham said: “Slow Food’s ‘good, clean and fair’ ethos is closely aligned with the Farm My Farm brand aims of raising awareness of seasonality in the UK regions and growing trust throughout the supply chain. We are really excited to be working with Slow Food as their exclusive fresh produce partner. We hope that our relationship and joint activities will help raise awareness of the From My Farm brand.”
