QV Foods has kicked off its Cornish potato season with Cornish Crystal going into Asda stores nationwide under the retailer’s premiumExtra Speciallabel.
The crop is being supported with specially designed point-of-sale merchandising units, which have been developed this season to highlight availability after a delayed start.
The Cornish crop has some of the most southerly south-facing slopes in the UK and is the earliest mainland source to come on stream.
Supplied by producer Rowe Farming, Cornish Crystal availability is expected to run through to the end of July in both fresh and prepared formats.
