Rachel Green is to front the campaign

Potato supplier Fenmarc has appointed Ceres to launch new season Rudolph potatoes.

Ceres, specialists in food PR, will initially undertake an integrated trade PR campaign that positions Rudolph as a versatile, reliable red potato delivering great taste for great value.

The campaign, which starts in August, will use TV chef and farmer’s daughter Rachel Green to highlight Rudolph’s versatility.

A microsite demonstrating Rudolph’s attributes including recipes and grower stories will also be launched alongside a six month trade PR campaign and series of adverts.

Fenmarc has been growing, preparing, packing and supplying potatoes and vegetables to major multiples and wholesale markets for more that 40 years, it has exclusive rights to Rudolph potatoes.

Ceres MD Jennifer John said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by Fenmarc. We have a strong track record of working in the fresh produce sector and with potatoes in particular, and are looking forward to establishing Rudolph with retailers, caterers and the consumer.

“Fresh produce is a very competitive sector, so it’s vital for growers and suppliers to differentiate themselves and their produce to drive purchase and customer loyalty. Rudolph offers a great range of benefits to the end user - including quality, flexibility nd value - all of which are top trends during 2011 and beyond”.
