Education caterers Alliance in Partnership have won a 12-month contract to provide fresh produce and school meals to Wingrave Church of England School, based in Aylesbury.
Alliance in Partnership is supplied by organics wholesaler Langridge, based at New Covent Garden Market, and fresh produce distributor Total Produce, among others.
Area operations manager for Alliance in Partnership Cherie-Anne Hart said the initial 12-month contract will provide a solid foundation for an on-going relationship. “I’m local to this area and really looking forward to working with the catering team here at Wingrave, which is led by Rachel Hardy. Between us we have a wealth of experience,” she said.
The school now receives daily prepared meals in accordance with the School Food Plan.
Headteacher Valerie Britnell said: “The children are thoroughly enjoying their lunches. It is fantastic to see so many empty plates and the children helping themselves to the fresh salad and fruit.”
