AgriAudit, a new app that simplifies farm audits, has won a £10,000 grant to help refine its platform and reach more farmers.

The funding is from the Regional EDGE competition for Dundee and Angus. It is part of Scottish EDGE, which offers grants and loans from £10,000 to £100,000 to help grow startups, social enterprises and charities in Scotland.

The funding, delivered with the support of a similar organisation called Elevator, will accelerate AgriAudit’s mission to streamline audit processes, reduce paperwork, and give farmers control over their compliance requirements, said AgriAudit founder Tom Porter.

He added: “Winning a Regional EDGE award is a huge milestone for AgriAudit. This support will allow us to refine our platform and reach more farmers, ensuring they have the tools they need to manage audits with confidence.”

The awards ceremony took place at the iconic DC Thomson building in Dundee, home to the famous media company behind several newspapers and comics, including The Beano.

Keynote speaker Owen Wyatt, chief growth officer at DC Thomson, celebrated the “entrepreneurial drive” shaping the region’s future.

AgriAudit was selected from 12 finalists, recognising the start-up’s potential to make a significant impact in the industry.
