Organic box scheme Abel & Cole is opening a new pop-up restaurant in London and hosting themed events to promote seasonal organic produce.

Based at Truman Brewery, on London’s Brick Lane, the restaurant will open from 9 September to 1 October, opening 12-10pm and cooking seasonal organic produce. Thursday evenings will be reserved for special ticketed events.

The project is in partnership with local charity Weavers Adventure Playground, a play space and community centre in east London that provides children with cooking skills and wellbeing initiatives.

Abel & Cole is also running themed events and evenings that will involve a range of its farmers, producers and chefs.

“Our home delivery service is well established but we’re always keen to evolve, have fun with the brand and find more ways to engage with our customers and the broader community, so the pop-up idea was a natural next step for us,” said Sara Haglund, Abel & Cole’s project manager.

“We can have a visible presence, cook some of our great food for customers to enjoy and really celebrate organic and seasonal produce.

“We have some brilliantly loyal customers who we’re looking forward to meeting but this is also an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to new customers.”
