Outspoken critic of the soft-fruit sector and celebrity gardener, Monty Don, has agreed to face questions from members of the industry.
Don, who has launched a number of attacks on the sector in recent years, particularly focusing on the use of polytunnels, will answer your questions in FPJ. Now we just need you to send us your questions.
The presenter of Gardeners’ World has long been an opponent of the use of polytunnels, accusing them of “raping the landscape”.
Back in 2004, Don was forced to print a correction in the Daily Mail following pressure from the Press Complaints Commission. British Summer Fruits complained about comments the gardener had made regarding the use of pesticides on strawberries. He was also widely quoted in the national press following the recent ruling against the Hall Hunter Partnership.
