The final of the Institute of Horticulture’s Young Horticulturist of the Year Competition 2011 takes place on 14 May at The RHS Harlow Carr gardens in Yorkshire.
The eight finalists are all winners in their regions: Paul Traynor from Teagasc College of Amenity Horticulture, Ireland; Christopher Parsons from East Durham & Houghall College, Chris Lockwood from Reaseheath College, Katie Croft from Threave Gardens, Scotland; Suzanne Moss from RHS Garden Wisley, Michael Gregory from Sparsholt College; Douglas Mackey from Pershore College and James English from Easton College.
