Yes Peas! reaches for the sky

The award-winning campaign to get the nation eating more frozen peas - Yes Peas! - has stepped up its promotions by working with UK electrical retailer Comet.

Thousands of copies of the Yes Peas! recipe book, which features contributions from TV chef Rachel Green, are to be distributed through all Comet stores.

The book will be given away to those who buy fridges and freezers.

The recipes, which range from Honeyed Duck with Pea and Potato Mash with Shallots, for children, Pea, to Sausage and Tomato Fusilli for slimmers, include something for everyone.

Tim Mudge at Yes Peas! said: “We are really pleased to be linking up with Comet in this way. Lots of people have a bag of frozen peas in their freezer because

peas are the most popular vegetable in the country, and our book gives them all

sorts of really new and original ways of cooking with them.

“Frozen peas are fresher than fresh as they are frozen within 150 minutes of

being picked, which means all the nutrients are locked in straight away.”
