Yes Peas! behind Red Tractor

The YesPeas! Campaign is supporting Red Tractor as the headline sponsor of the Great British Food Theatre - part of the BBC Good Food Show.

It will be the first time Red Tractor, the British symbol of food safety, animal welfare, and care for the environment, will have an influential position at the event, which attracts over 1,300 visitors each year.

The theatre is part of the show’s Great British Food Festival and will feature five to six daily cookery sessions by celebrity chefs using Red Tractor ingredients. As a sponsor, YesPeas! Will have their produce used by the chefs, including Rachel Green, Yorkshire Television's Flying Cook, who has recently devised some seasonal recipes with frozen peas including pea and hummus puree with escalope of pork, penne pasta with peas, pancetta and cream, and pea and pinenut couscous with lamb.

Between the celebrity demonstrations, organisers say the Red Tractor pavilion is open to visitors wanting to learn more about the Red Tractor’s role, and how each sponsors’ industry uses it to maintain and raise standards and sample different products in each sector

“I am delighted that so many organisations have rallied behind the Red Tractor for this prestigious event,” said Chairman of Assured Food Standards, Colin Smith: “Red Tractor standards are owned by the whole food chain and underpin a wide range of quality food messages. I am confident this project will drive a greater understanding for whole chain assurance and urge more shoppers to look out for the Red Tractor logo.”

The show will run from November 23-27 at Birmingham NEC.
