Writtle comes into bloom

The meadow at Writtle College is now in full bloom, after horticulture students from the college helped establish it in autumn of 2006.

It contains corn chamomile, poppy, cornflower, corn cockle, yellow rattle and corn marigold, among others.

In subsequent years students will be able to use the areas for practical and theoretical studies.

It is expected that the annuals will gradually disappear over the next year or two, to be replaced by grasses and perennials.
