Premium London wholesaler Natoora has extended its delivery service to include Sundays.
The new service, which is available to restaurants within the M25, means the business now offers an uninterrupted supply of fruit and vegetables for all except four days of the year.
It also aims to help restaurants eliminate shelf life issues, particularly with products such as leafy greens or ripe peaches and pears, as chefs can top up stock whenever needed.
“We understand the pressures restaurants are under to plan their menus and ensure they have enough stock to cover busy weekends,” said Natoora sales director, Vittorio Maschio. “The new service will allow us to better serve our customers, offering chefs greater flexibility in their ordering.”
Zafferano head chef, Daniele Camera, said: “Natoora really delivers on consistently supplying produce at its very peak. Knowing we can place our order for fruit and vegetables any day of the week lets us react quickly to fluctuating bookings and minimise food wastage.'
Natoora works directly with producers to source premium fruit and vegetables from Italy and France.
It merged with London-based Italian produce importer, Portobello Food, in 2007, and counts some of London’s top restaurants among its customers, including The River Café, The Greenhouse, The Intercontinental and The Lanesborough.
