E James (Western) Ltd of Western International Market ceased trading last week.
The firm was wholly owned by Spalding-based importer and ingredients specialist JO Sims. A spokesman at the parent company told the Journal that trading conditions at the market had led to its closure.
Traders at other firms on the market are disgruntled, however, as some are owed money by the firm and are disappointed that JO Sims has “not stood by” its subsidiary.
