The British-Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) is organising its second Agrifood Forum on November 8 at the Centrum Falenty in Warsaw.

Two separate seminars are being organised, one in Polish about UK market opportunities and one in English about sourcing from and selling to Poland.

The event will focus on adding consumer value through smarter processing, logistics and marketing, but the aim is mainly to get buyers and sellers in the same room, said the BPCC. There will also be an exhibition around the seminars.

Last year’s event involved buyers from two UK multiples, independent buyers, food exporters, investors, packaging firms and analysts, as well as many Polish food firms.

In the first four months of 2007, Polish agrifood exports to the UK totalled more than £100 million, 35 per cent higher than during the year-earlier period. British food and beverage exports to Poland are growing more slowly - only 12.5 per cent up for the same period.
