Walter Braund (Western) in liquidation

Having carried out an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the closure of his firm on Western International on October 9 (last week’s FPJ), John Johnson has concluded that Walter Braund (Western) Ltd will cease trading.

Legal counsel John Lamb, acting on behalf of Johnson, said in a statement: “Following completion of the review of the financial position of Walter Braund (Western) Ltd and after taking professional advice, a decision was made not to recommence trading and to appoint Kevin Brown of Marriots as liquidator of the company, with effect from 27.10.08.

“The decision to liquidate Walter Braund (Western) Ltd is made with regret and does not affect the business of Walter Braund (Spitalfields) Ltd, which will continue to trade as normal from New Spitalfields Market.”
