Horticulturist Christine Walkden will be giving a talk at Writtle College on October 25 in which she will be discussing her experiences in making the second series of the BBC TV show ‘Christine’s Garden.’

Walkden, who has lectured at the college for the past two decades, kindled her love for the industry when she was ten when she first obtained an allotment and started growing vegetables and flowers to sell.

Her passion for plants shows through in her TV series, and she has recently written a book to go alongside the second series, entitled ‘A Year in Christine’s Garden - The Secret Diary of a Garden Lover.’

An Evening With Christine Walkden begins at 7.30pm at Writtle, with tickets costing £5.
