Premium retailer Waitrose is to co-fund a new daily TV show that will focus on locally sourced produce.

The UKTV programme, Market Kitchen, will be presented by four food experts.

The year-long deal will also see Waitrose as the exclusive sponsor of the Market Kitchen website and the retailer will exclusively stream four programming strands from the series on its own website.

UKTV Food’s channel head Paul Moreton said: “We are thrilled to be working with Waitrose - its brand values are a perfect fit with ours and we believe their association with Market Kitchen will truly add value to our audience’s viewing experience.”
