Waitrose has launched a new salad product featuring what it calls a market-first.
The retailer's Grower’s Selection Seasonal Salad Leaves pack, priced at £1.50 for 60g, includes what Waitrose believes to be the first retail appearance for micro wasabi leaf.
The pack includes special varieties grown in the Waitrose market garden in Lincolnshire.
A spokesperson said: 'The head gardener Martin Heathcote ensures that only the best leaves are harvested each morning, and with his choice changing with the seasons, consumers will always have something fresh and different to look forward to.'
