Premium retailer Waitrose has halved the price of 13 fresh produce items in a month-long ‘half price’ promotional event.
A single medium avocado has been reduced from £1 to 45p and five Pink Lady apples now cost £1.50, down from £3.
Other promotions include 600g of essential Waitrose clementines for £1 and 200g of trimmed green beans for 80p. Five essential oranges have also been reduced to £1.
A Keitt mango and a single papaya now cost 99p, 300g of frozen raspberries is pegged at £1.39 and pre-packed beetroot from G’s Fresh has been slashed to 47p.
A four-pack of chopped tinned tomatoes has also been reduced from £4.29 to £2.19.
The half price promotion, which began on 1 January, will run until 28 January and has been publicised across social media.
