Leading refrigerated cabinet supplier, Verco Ltd, has supplied a solution for Tesco’s temporary store near Birmingham.
Open for just 12 weeks, the installation in Solihull was a stop-gap measure while the area’s main Tesco site was being updated.
Tesco enlisted 29 of Verco’s Kingston integral cabinets to use during the period, where they proved an ideal solution as no external plant was required.
Tesco said the equipment had already been road-tested in its Express stores, where the cabinets are a great success.
“We were delighted to receive the order because, although we have supplied several hundred cabinets for on-going Tesco Express and One Stop store refurbishment programmes, this is our first for a Tesco supermarket for a number of years,” said Colin Jones, Verco sales and marketing director.
