A survey undertaken by the Vegetarian Society has revealed that significant numbers of restaurants, work and college canteens and even some hospitals are under the misconception that vegetarians eat fish.
The Vegetarian Society is now on a mission to remove this myth with its ëFishconception' Campaign. The launch will reveal results of its Fishconceptions' survey, finding out how this issue affects the catering industry and what businesses can do to prevent further loss.
• Meanwhile, the society has announced that this year's Vegetarian Society Awards will be sponsored by Vertese, a range of gelatine-free vitamin and mineral supplements.
