Washington State fresh produce supplier and distributor Vanguard has announced the restructuring of its senior management team.

Tim Clarke has been promoted to be Vanguard’s vice president, global sales & logistics. Clarke has been with Vanguard for over 14 years and has been responsible for many of the company’s sales and procurement programmes in Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, and the US. Having handled both export sales, as well as sales into North America on the import side, Vanguard believes Clarke is uniquely qualified to lead its sales and marketing activities globally. Vanguard markets and distributes fruit and vegetables in more than 50 countries around the world and has offices in Chile, China, Indonesia, Italy, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States, and a liaison office in Mildura, Australia through its joint venture with citrus and grape grower-packer JAK Fruit.

Will Mehrten has rejoined Vanguard as vice president, global procurement & business development. He departed Vanguard in November 2006 after 13 years with the company and enjoyed a 22-month stay in the wine business. He will now oversee Vanguard’s procurement activities, to include grower contracting and quality assurance, in over 25 countries.

Rounding out Vanguard’s senior management team is Keri Falkner. Falkner came to Vanguard from Deloitte & Touche and has been with the company for over 12 years starting as Vanguard’s Accounting Manager in 1995 before being promoted to Controller in 1999 and vice president, finance & operations, in 2005. Falkner oversees all of Vanguard’s financial accounting and operations activities globally.
