US farmers have fallen foul of bad weather, with a recent freeze damaging strawberries and some of the apple crop in the central New York area.
One farmer said he had lost at least a quarter of their two acres of strawberries on the family farm.
Farmers say the worst damage was in early May, and light frosts following a few days later added to problems.
Producers said it is too early to know how prices will be affected, but the freeze could mean some smaller yields and also more misshapen fruit.
