Langmead Farms was at IFE to promote its latest range of unwashed salad leaves.
The company launched four varieties - a red and green lambs’ lettuce, rocket and two mixes of red and green leaves - at Tesco last month.
And according to sales manager, Paul Beynon, it is hoping to unveil an organic range in the next three or four months, starting with spinach.
Beynon said: “The benefit of unwashed leaves is you can keep them fresh for longer because they have not been processed in the same way. The leaves are not in modified atmosphere bags, only air, so you get the full length of the product.”
