Activists from the trades union Unite protested with cupcakes and custard pies at the BBC Good Food Show held at events venue Glow in the Bluewater shopping centre, Kent.
At the event Unite chefs greeted visitors with Unite cupcakes and postcards in protest for those workers at the MMP food-packaging plant in Merseyside that the union claims have been illegally locked out.
The union is angered that John Lewis, Waitrose and other users of MMP products have not intervened to stop the lock out and helped the workers get back to work.
