Event promises to focus on key issues affecting the UK fresh produce industry
The UK Fresh Produce Network (UKFPN) is hosting an event on 11 March at the House of Lords to discuss key industry issues.
Hosted by Lord Waverley, UKFPN members and fresh produce industry stakeholders will explore the critical themes of funding, finance, and trade.
The UKFPN has been set up to support the growth and sustainability of the UK fresh produce sector, and has already established an All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) to address sector challenges and raise awareness of the fresh produce industry’s vital role in the UK economy.
Attendees at the Lords event will be offered insights into the latest developments and opportunities within the financial and trade sectors, addressing key challenges faced by the fresh produce industry, according to organisers.
Expert speakers and panel discussions will focus on practical solutions, innovative strategies, and collaborative efforts to drive the sector forward.
Tammy Dawson-Doughty, managing director of UKFPN, said: “This event represents a unique opportunity for our members to gain vital knowledge and connections that will enable them to navigate the complexities of funding, finance, and trade.
”It also highlights the progress we’ve made as an organisation, from founding the UKFPN to establishing an APPG and now hosting this pivotal event at the House of Lords.”
